People seem to be hungry this week, as people are actively targeting food products. So much for summer bods, I guess.
1. Parmigiano Reggiano: yes, the entire Parmigiano Consortium is under attack from cheese markers not from the region. They have begun implementing fraud trackers to fight against fraud.
2. Cheez-it x Pandora ‘Aged by Audio’: I guess Cheese is a hot topic, as Cheez-it released a collaboration with Pandora, where they aged these boxes of Cheez-its to hip-hop music for 6 months. Apparently, it strengthens the taste and smell an, but seems a little suspect. A box of Cheez-its and a 90 day trial to Pandora, isn’t a bad deal…
3. Zadeh Kicks: unless you are on sneaker twitter, you likely have never heard of this story. But basically, there was a store/guy called Zadeh that promised individuals exclusive drops. He required them to pre-pay for the sneakers, and the government closed his business this week, as it was deemed a ponzi scheme. He defrauded a bunch of people and it is a consequence of hitting on these exclusive sneakers that these shady businesses were able to establish themselves. It was complete rug pull and attached a great podcast to describes the situation.
