We have significantly extended our cluster and telemetry capabilities to combat Card Testing and prevent known bad actors from making purchases. By identifying individuals with a history of chargebacks, we can now block these bad actors from entering their credit card information. This reduces the risk of fraud by preventing the creation of alias profiles to bypass blocklists, potential chargebacks, and hours of customer support time.

Customer Impact - we prevented 10,000s card testers and known bad actors, who were continuously targeting brands with fake and alias accounts, leading to many chargebacks and negatively impacting authentication rates. With the customer blocking tags, we helped brands identify these bad actors and all of their alias profiles, who were bypassing hardcoded blocking, such as email addresses, IPs, or shipping addresses, through our clustering and identity mapping. This saved brands hours of work and reduced the risk of suspicious orders.
The National Retail Federation estimates internal employee theft accounts for about 25% of shrink losses, with an average internal apprehension case valued at $1,203.16. To address this, we have made it easy to identify employee abuse, assisting the Loss Prevention/Risk team in identifying employee abuse and theft.
